Why would a white-label gemini deployment on Apple's cloud lead to data being sent to google? That's like saying Oracle gets every bit of data that Apple stores in their dbs.
In theory everything will work fine, with models being sent to Apple as weights. In practice, Gemini will probably be a huge service with a lot of Google consultants doing remote work in Apples cloud… with debug info being sent directly to Google… all with contracts saying it is not allowed to use the data for anything else than “improving their services“.
If Google only gets money from this, Id be happily surprised, but this is an ad company with sharp finance sharks…
